Spring 2007
Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ, The Cum Christo Community “faithfully administers God’s grace in various forms” wherever they are blooming. Through the Cursillo method of piety, study and action each of us has been equipped to use our gifts to serve others. Whether we do our group reunion in our homes, at restaurants, in church, at work or at Ultreya all of us are building up God’s Kingdom here on earth. As the Lay Directors we ask you to consider making a gift to our annual Sustaining/Outreach Fund. God tells us we cannot live by bread alone and the word of God, it also takes the financial support of our community to allow our movement to continue and grow. Our goal for the upcoming year is $30,000 Through your generosity this past year we have been able to improve the Center and provide for the Cursillistas Outreach program as well as help our neighbors at the Jaycee Arms and Nazareth Towers. In the past several years we have been fortunate to acquire some grant money to help defray some of the cost of some major repairs such as the new windows for the center but those funds have been depleted. With increasing hidden costs such as heat, water, printing/mailing and trash disposal along with the need to have the building meet fire code (the fire escape must be brought up to code) we are in need of your generosity now more than ever. In addition, we would still love to be able to have a chair lift from the first floor to the second floor. We had hoped that this could have been accomplished in 2006 but we fell short of our fund raising goal by $5000. Hopefully with your help we can make this a reality in 2007. Enclosed is a card providing you with the opportunity to make contributions to Cum Christo Sustaining/Outreach fund or to make a donation in honor of or in memory of a loved one. You may even want to consider a pledge of a monthly or quarterly donation. If you make memorial donations a card acknowledging these gifts will be sent on your behalf. Once again, we thank you for your past and future support of our beloved movement. Christ continues to count on each of us to be good stewards of the many gifts and talents with which we have been blessed. De Colores,
